When your boat sinks, ideally you will have a life jacket handy in order to keep afloat until help arrives, but what if your boat capsizes and you end up stuck in a river or an ocean. What can you do if there are no life jackets available or you can not get to one in time?
If your boat sank close to you, there will usually be plenty of objects around in the debris field, and you can usually find floating debris that you can hang on to or extra light jackets that you can put on.
